Sophomore inspire week was a week long program focused on college and career preparation and giving back to the community. By the end of the week each student, with a group of their peers, completed a two-day service project for a local non-profit organization. I worked with united way in Durango. What my group did was we went around to all the organizations in town big brothers big sister, library, boys and girls club etc, and we recorded and interviewed people who worked there and other Animas high school sophomores volunteering there for the week. Once we did that we split into other groups I was in the video making group with two other people. We made the video above, we made the video for united way to use to get more people to volunteer. I learned a lot about making a video and what all the organizations did, and how united way helps the community. At the beginning I didn't think it was going to be fun but I was able to work with a couple of my friends and we got to know each other more, created a better bond, and made a good ish video for a very well know organization.
