We did the driving project to use math in our everyday life. We all are either driving or studying to start driving. So why not learn how to do math and learn more about driving or the vehicle. What I did was the difference of summer and winter tires and why they should only be used in the season they were made for. I started with researching about the tires, what the difference is, why winter tires are good in winter why summer tires are good in summer, and then what happens to the tire when it's used in the wrong season. I didn't really use math with this question because it was mostly all research, instead of calculating the difference times of different ways to get to school or the difference of fuel, etc. So to add math into this project I asked a deeper question that involved math. The question was "If you drive the same tire the same distance on a car and truck do they last the same?" That involves math because you have to get the difference of weight of the vehicles the tread depth and calculation the miles you do. Seeing if a weight difference affects how long the tire last.
